As a foundation of our company and means to the fulfillment of our mission statement, all Paragon employees are provided a compliance hotline phone number upon hire and a copy of integrity matters a self-instructional booklet, which requires a signed acknowledgement and agreement, outlining the values and principles that guide our conduct in business and clinical settings. Below is a summary:

CODE OF ETHICS AND BUSINESS CONDUCT

    1. Treat all those affiliated with Paragon respectfully, in an ethical manner.
    2. Obey the law.
    3. Promote a positive and ethical work environment.
    4. Work safely: protect yourself and other employees.
    5. Keep accurate and complete records.
    6. Record and report financial data properly.
    7. Strictly adhere to all antitrust (fair competition) laws.
    8. Steer clear of conflicts of interest.
    9. Avoid illegal or questionable gifts or favors.
    10. Maintain integrity with consultants and outside agents.
    11. Follow the law and use common sense in political contributions and activities.
    12. Carefully bid, negotiate, and perform contracts.
    13. Protect proprietary information.

DOCUMENTATION COMPLIANCE
Compliance with federal and state regulations is especially evident in our documentation. Through our long term relationships with fiscal intermediaries in each state in which we operate, we have low Medicare denial rates and an outstanding record with the Medicare program. Paragon recently underwent a full documentation audit in conjunction with the DAVE project in the Southeast and together with our host facility, received a nearly perfect score for therapy documentation and correlation with the MDS.

Survey Ready Everyday

Paragon is dedicated to Quality, and we utilize several audits to monitor our performance, including a Pre-Survey Audit.  Our goal is to be prepared for State Surveys on an ongoing basis.  Our Pre-Survey Audit covers:
